This column is brought to you by Ashton Giese, ManAboutWorld correspondent and editor of the GAYography newsbrief.
As we approach Memorial weekend (and thus wedding season), the world could not be more gay-married! In two firsts, Ireland will (almost certainly) vote to approve a national referendum on marriage equality tomorrow and Luxembourg’s Prime Minister married his partner! Even in Asia, an Indian mom posted an ad for her gay son and in Taiwan a city implemented it’s first same-sex registry.
Have fun on Fire Island, Rehoboth or in the Pines this weekend (even if it rains you can always stay in and watch Eurovision) and if you’re on the West Coast, don’t forget to celebrate Harvey Milk Day on Friday. Enjoy Pride in Puerto Vallarta as well as Phnom Penh. However, before you head out for the weekend, give to your favorite LGBT cause for Give OUT Day today!
