DDTI*: Gay-Friendly Lisbon via Little Phil

Gay-friendly Lisbon in ManAboutWorld gay travel magazineToday’s DDTI (*Daily Dose of Travel Inspiration) comes to us from gay-friendly Lisbon via our newest correspondent Little Phil, a prolific Instagrammer who’s traveling around Europe this summer.

Need some travel inspiration? Then look no further than Lisbon, Europe’s second-oldest capital. The city of Lisbon benefits from a subtropical climate, which means short winters and long hot summers. If the amazing weather isn’t enough to entice you, then the stunning beaches, like the scenic Cascais (above), surely will. But there is more to this magical city than just the beaches and balmy weather. Originally built over seven hills, the city boasts some of the most breathtaking views in Europe and there are numerous hilltop terraces or “miradouros” where visitors can take in the picturesque cityscape from on high. A beautiful mix of the old (sights like Castelo de São Jorge) and the new (the majestic Vasco da Gama Bridge), Lisbon is ideal for those who love to explore.
